MTE-1 WATER RESISTANT PACKAGE

The MTE-1 water resistant package is built to keep you dry in most conditions. A zonal layering of watertight membranes keeps high-soak area's from leaking in so wet socks don't ruin your day.

PRIMALOFT^® COLD WEATHER THERMAL PACKAGE

PrimaLoft has been in the advanced materials technology solution game since 1983. Originally developed for the U.S. Army, their high-quality microfiber thermal insulation systems mimic the warmth-providing properties of down, and have become synonymous with cold weather comfort. PrimaLoft fabric has millions of air pockets that actually trap and preserve body heat, and also contain fibers that are treated so that they don't retain water.

GORE-TEX has been an innovator and industry leader in high-performance waterproof-breathable technology since 1969. Each square inch of a GORE-TEX membrane has nine billion pores—and every of those tiny holes is 20,000 times smaller than a single droplet of water. Each one of those billions of pores is also 700 times larger than a water vapor molecule, which is the key to breathability and allowing internal moisture to escape as body heat and temperature rise. Simply put, rain and snow cannot get in and the GORE-TEX "GUARANTEED TO KEEP YOU DRY^™" promise is trusted in any condition.

3M THINSULATE^™ COLD WEATHER THERMAL PACKAGE

3M Thinsulate Insulation is warm, lightweight, powerful, and thin. The extremely fine microfibers in Thinsulate Insulation help to trap air and block body radiant heat loss, making for an incredibly efficient insulation while still allowing inter-nal moisture to escape. A high warmth-to-thickness ratio also enables reduced bulk and advanced freedom of movement. In other words, Thinsulate material traps more air in less space, giving your foot more room to breathe.

ALL-TRAC^™ OUTSOLE

All-Trac is a formula-based proprietary rubber compound developed by Vans for MTE footwear. Its patent pending recipe delivers true all-terrain grip, significantly aiding in overall traction and upgrading all MTE-2 and MTE-3 styles. This specialized all-season formula is further optimized with increased flexibility which allows lugs to bend with terrain changes, creating more surface area and better variable adaptability. From wet or dry city streets, to the unpredictably of the un-paved, All-Trac delivers a new level of adventure-based opportunity all year long.

ALL-TRAC^™ OUTSOLE

MTE SNOW is specifically designed for harsh, cold weather. Unlike any other MTE products, these are entirely focused on snow and winter conditions.

WATERPROOF, SEAM-SEALED CONSTRUCTION & WATERPROOF, VULCANIZED RUBBER LOWER

Keeping snow and wet out is the fundamental objective of winter boots, followed closely by cool winter style, of course. A vulcanized rubber lower and waterproof, seam-sealed construction provide impenetrable leak guards on all Standard boots.

200-GRAM INSULATION PACKAGE

Shoveling the walkway, walking the dog, or running to the market—we all want warm feet on a cold day, and Vans Snow MTE boots deliver. The new Standard XF utilizes a modified snowboard boot liner construction and all its traditional insulation offerings. Our classic Standard boots feature a heavy-duty, removable felt liner, while the downsized Standard Mid gets the job done with a 100-gram weight insulation package.

STANDARD SNOW MTE OUTSOLE

Specially designed for cruising around in cold weather conditions, the Standard Snow MTE outsole offers next-level grip and traction. An aggressive reverse waffle lug pattern provides variable terrain and street performance, while the siped tire-like design increases overall traction. Add in multi-level dynamic surfacing and you've got Vans-approved performance.
